Digit 5

Digit 5 is the fifth generation of Agility Robotics' general-purpose humanoid robot, officially unveiled on September 15, 2026. It is Agility's first humanoid engineered for cooperatively safe work at scale, designed to work in close proximity to people without the physical safety barriers required by traditional automation. Specifications are preliminary and may change, as the robot is currently in development. The new safety architecture builds on Digit 4's milestone of becoming the first humanoid to pass an independent OSHA-administered field evaluation on a customer production line. Digit 5 adds safe human detection using proprietary AI algorithms and multiple sensor technologies to autonomously avoid, stop, or assume a seated position around people, along with next-generation legs and battery upgrades for full facility workflows. Digit 5 is built on over 65,000 hours of commercial operation of the Digit platform across manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics deployments. Agility reports more than $300 million in multi-year customer orders for the new generation (company-reported figure, not independently verified). Within the embodied AI ecosystem, Digit 5 runs on Agility's physical AI stack and continues the Digit lineage that made humanoid robots commercially deployable in industrial settings.
