Apollo

Robotactive

Apollo is Apptronik's full-size bipedal humanoid robot designed for industrial logistics, material handling, and manufacturing tasks. Standing 173 cm tall and weighing 73 kg, Apollo features 34 degrees of freedom — among the highest in any commercial humanoid — enabling complex manipulation sequences. The robot has a payload capacity of 25 kg and approximately 4 hours of battery life. Apollo uses a modular design with swappable battery packs and configurable end effectors, allowing rapid adaptation to different tasks. It is designed for box-moving, palletizing, and material handling in warehouses and factories. Apptronik spun out of the Human Centered Robotics Lab at UT Austin. Apollo is backed by partnerships with NASA for human-robot interaction research and Mercedes-Benz for automotive manufacturing deployment. The robot operates on a Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model. Sensors include vision, force-torque, and IMU. The robot's high DOF count gives it superior manipulation capabilities compared to many competitors.
